How to Maintain Your Finish

RUBIO MONOCOAT - OIL PLUS 2C

Oil Plus is a plant-based, hardwax oil wood finish. Oil Plus 2C is 0% VOC and does not contain solvents or water. It is easy to maintain, and is available in over 50 colors. It takes seven days after application to reach a full cure.

CLEANING

Use a damp rag with clean water for the regular cleaning of your oiled furniture. For a deeper clean it is recommended to purchase Surface Care Spray or properly diluted Rubio Monocoat Soap. These products will allow for a thorough cleaning without leaving a film or affecting the natural matte look.

MAINTENANCE

Since no artificial toxic hardeners are used to increase the durable life of the finish, periodic maintenance is necessary, usually between 2 and 6 years, depending on climate, use, and care. Maintenance is done using Renew.

WALRUS OIL - CUTTING BOARD OIL AND WOOD WAX

Walrus oil and wax are two separate products that we use on any of our items that will be used on or around food. Both products are food safe, and offer water protection for the wood.

MAINTENANCE

Once you start to see the wood item dry out or lose its shine, it is time for reapplication of the oil and wax. We recommend you purchase and apply Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil and Walrus Oil Wood Wax. The oil soaks into the wood, creating a moisture barrier, while the wax creates a seal coat, and gives that satin shine. Applying these as needed will help your product last for many years to come.

GENERAL FINISHES WATER-BASED EURETHANE - ENDURO-VAR II
